Steven Brown - Director
Steven Brown (Director) commenced Brown’s Express 20 years ago in Rockhampton with 2 employees providing a general freight service to local customers. The customers came from a network of people known to Steve from work he had carried out with other transport providers in the region wherein they expressed a view that the freight companies were unreliable, inconsistent, expensive and not customer friendly.
Steven identified this gap in service as an opportunity to meet or exceed the requirements of customers and by fulfilling this gap successfully has been able to build a vast network of major and minor customers across Central and Western Qld to build from a micro business into a medium sized enterprise with 60 vehicles and trailers in the fleet.
Steven has been the company director since its inception with an unblemished record and a consistently high customer retention and satisfaction rate from his hands on leadership work ethic and values applied by the business in everyday work practices by the staff who follow his leadership.
Applying this approach to his business has enabled Brown’s Express to become the sole provider for the last 10 years for freight services in Central Qld for large scale freight companies outside of the region including Mainfreight, Border Express, Cope, Ceva Logistics, Allied Express, Air Road, OzWide, CNQ, Vision Freight, Morgans Long Distance, CKC Haulage, Freightright and Millthorpe.
